Cisco has redesigned its CCNP courses and exams to reflect the evolving job tasks of enterprise network engineers. As a result, the BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW and ONT courses and exams will be retired and replaced with new CCNP courses and exams.
Candidates have four different paths (BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW and ONT) to CCNP certification until July 31, 2010.

The CCNP certifies an individual's networking skills at the advanced level. A CCNP certification shows that you can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for larger (100- to 500-node) multiprotocol networks.
