Course Description
The goal of this two-day course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to configure a Windows-based computer to operate in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 networking infrastructure.
This is the third course in the Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer tracks for Windows Server 2003. Intended Audience for this Course- The target audience for this course includes individuals who are either employed by, or who are seeking employment as, a Systems Administrator in Medium and Large organizations (M/LORG).
- Entry-level IT professionals, new to hands-on Windows server and network administration.
- Preparing for Exam 70-291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure, a core requirement for the MCSA and MCSE certification credentials.
- Before attending this course, students must have completed A+ and Network+ certification or equivalent knowledge and skills.

- Convert Internet Protocol (IP) addresses between decimal and binary.

Brian is the founder, owner, and president of Maverick Solutions IT, Inc, an IT consultancy and support provider, serving schools, not-for-profits, and SO/HO clients in the New York metro area. With more than twelve years of professional experience, Brian is an expert in infrastructure and security, as well as business process analysis.
His broad technical background includes extensive systems architecture, network engineering, and business analysis skills with a multitude of industry certifications including Microsoft MCT, MCSE & MCSA w/Security specializations (2000 & 2003), MCDST, and the rare MCLC, and CompTIA A , Network , Server , HTI , and Convergence . Feridun (MCP, MCP I, MCSE, MCT) is an IT consultant and trainer who has worked in the field of IT since 1988. His early IT experience was with UNIX systems and local area networks. In more recent years, he has worked with Microsoft products.
Having discovered that he liked giving presentations he became an MCT and regularly teaches Microsft technical courses including Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, TCP/IP, SQL Server Administration and Small Business Server. Feridun also provides IT consulting services to all types of businesses.

Jeffrey worked at Merrill Lynch for 20 years as a manager and technical support staff for mainframe operations. During his transition in 2003 to client-server technologies, he attended Solartech to attain his MCP and MCAD certifications. He attained his MCSD and MCT certifications at Solartech and has been a trainer from 2005 until the present.
